pinning on a tuesday.

 Follow my blog with Bloglovin

What's going on with y'all on this Tuesday?! I currently have this view...

not the prettiest, but definitely not the worst.

I haven't had as much time this week to pin to my heart's desire but this is what I've been diggin' lately..

We're having a family slip and slide party the end of June so getting some ideas on how I want it to look!

<< love this drink station idea and I have some of the containers left from our wedding last year!

I started a new morning routine yesterday and had SUCCESS! Today wasn't as a great but living for the little victories, y'all.

<< Also took an enneagram test this week [a free one, so not sure how accurate it is.]
Annyways, it said I was a 6 with a 5 wing.
It actually fit me to a tee, so
I'm having fun learning more and find that stuff super interesting!

today is the dermatology day! yay! After trying everything OTC I could get my hands on and having zero success [still bummed Rodan + Fields didn't end up working], I am giving myself to the pros. I'll keep you posted.

What have you been pinning lately?!

What's On #4 with a side of goals

It's Mondayyyy and I'm having to work this Monday, normally I have Mondays and Fridays off but I'm okay with being at the office today. It normally picks up pace starting June 1st for people enrolling for the next school year so it's nice to have busy days to make the time go by faster.

My menu!: Now I've made it transparent that I'm not the best cook and it's not my favorite past time but last week we started meal prepping and that worked really well so we are giving it a go this week too. On the menu-
  • 1/2 cup chicken [cooked, seasoned]
  • 1/2 cup white rice [cooked, salted]

What I like about the blandness is that I can add whatever I want with the mood, we just take them out of the frig for lunch or dinner, heat up for 2 minutes and it's ready. I normally always add parmesan to mine for better flavor. We bought brown rice for next weeks. I tried fish and vegetables but they just don't stay fresh long enough for it too feel worth it.

of course the monsters are mine as well [my vice].

PS. I got the idea from my favorite blogger, Shay Shull to do some small to large goals each month and since it is day 8 of June I thought it wasn't too late for me to add some to my month.

Tripp and I both participated and I included our lists:

Linds:

Do Something Outdoors Twice A Week - this one is hard for me being that I work indoors with no windows 3-4 days a week.

Weigh 130-  I told Tripp that we were being very brave posting some goal weights for this month, we have overall goal weights but these are our stepping stones for this month. We are pretty unhealthy and are looking to change it!

Go To The Derm-  Again, the struggle is real with my skin and I am so tired of it! Being 24 and having the worst skin of my life is no bueno. I have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday! #yay

Keep My Paperwork Stack At Work Low- This time of year our paperwork pile grows substantially and pretty much dictates how my desk is gonna look the whole school year.

Have Friends Over [entertain]- It's summer and of course most of our friends are teachers so it's a slow time and great time to have people over! {already have a family slip and slide party in the works!}

Run A Mile In 10 Minutes- Sounds easy to you guys but I am the worst runner and we signed up for a 5k in August. Gotta start fast!

Tripp:
Weigh 220- Again, we are both working on our stepping stone goals.

Read A Book- Tripp is a PE teacher, okay. That by no means makes him a guy who loves to read.

Keep Yard Clean and Keep Working On It- Guys, he has already planted me two hibiscus trees :) #happywife

Do 5 Fun Things With Lindsay [at least]- We did one today that I'll post later this week!

Back Squat 400 and Front Squat 325- Dude is getting swole. #gottawatchmybackfortheladies

Share your June goals!

have any new meal prep ideas?! comment with them!

pinterest isn't just for moms.

So on Tuesdays I will start updating you guys on what pinterest inspo I've been seeing lately. Sometimes pinterest just overwhelms and I have to take a few weeks off but here lately when Tripp gets up to go to the gym at 4:30, I take that quiet time to Pin until my heart is full.

First off, my current favorite pinners:

second, my boards that have been getting my attention lately

 spring.summer.
Boho is my inspiration for every wardrobe choice currently. These are just everything right now.

 pretty
Last week I got around 4 inches cut off my hair so that maybe it could become healthy again..it was so fried and having to cut that much was sad but fresh start. I'm obsessed with braids and nude lips for summer.

LouisaG, who I recommended y'all follow at the beginning of this post inspired this board. I'm always looking for natural ways to overcome my depression and these are amazing. I ordered some essential oils so I am pretty pumped to give those a try.

 healthy eats
We are horrible eaters....it takes such a huge effort to really eat well. I am constantly being encouraged with this board though.

third, that's what is currently inspiring me.. If you are on pinterest, give your girl a follow!

What's Up Wednesday

I am linking up with one of my favorite bloggers, Shay at MixandMatchMama for "What's Up Wednesdays". Shay has the best posts and if you are a "Bachelor" fan you will know her as Season 17's Bachelor Sean's sister.

What we're eating this week:
I'm usually not one for cooking, I haven't found my niche in it yet. That being said....Tripp made Paleo Chili at his small group on Sunday and I must say it was delish. He made a huge pot that I ate on for a 3 days before freezing the rest. Very proud of the hubs.

What I'm reading:
My goal here lately is to read one self-help, one fiction that I can enjoy and one bible study. I mentioned in an earlier post that I am reading Grief Healing Techniques which I HIGHLY
recommend for anyone needing help with grief in anyway.

For my fiction, I am looking to find a new one. So any recommendations, comment with them please!

Then there is my Bible study...again SHEREADSTRUTH is perfect for any female needing a different approach to your typical Bible study. It's an APP, but you can also purchase the study guides for a few of the plans which are BEAUTIFUL> I have Esther currently.

What I'm reminiscing about:
Obviously constantly reminiscing about this guy... #sorrynotsorry it'll be a year April 5th so I know the posts surrounding that date will probably more sentimental than most.

 What I'm looking forward to:

Since Tripp and I both work in education (well me, sort of) we have next week off for spring break and while we aren't going away we are going to try to do some fun stuff around here. I know one day I want to go to one of the parks for some outdoor time, plus some must needed car washing, grass cutting, etc. It should be fun tho!

What I'm loving:

Well these two specifically, ever since she was forced to spend at least 24 hours with us during all the snow/ice we all most DEFINITELY bonded. I love this babe and am so enjoying this time that she is living with us. I know one day life/we will different/harder/older so I am trying to remember to enjoy this time in our marriage/being roommates. I have to say it isn't too hard because these two are quite fun :)

Also..this past weekend I came down with some throat burning crude so I am currently loving me some emergen-c as well #yuktobeingsick.

What I've been up to:

Well work (obvs), a lot of PB and Hot Yoga...honestly our weeks are pretty monotonous around here. It's baseball season so Tripp works late with games or practice, I work till the same time everyday and go straight to some sort of class that makes me sweat and then beds it is...food in there somewhere as well.

I applied for 3 jobs that I would be excited about so fingers crossed.

 What I'm dreading:
Apparently allergy season or whatever the heck is wrong with me....it is no bueno.

What I'm working on:

Finding the energy to go to Yen Yoga tonight and this blog... besides that I currently don't have many projects going on at the house and a ton of projects going on at work (hellllo, graduation time).

What I'm excited about:

The weekend...too soon?!

What I'm watching:

Just started The Mindy Project this past weekend and omg...LOVE LOVE. She is me, err I am her. Hilarious! If you love New Girl or comedy or laughing, in general it is a MUST watch.

What I'm listening to:

I mean it's Queen Bey so do I need to give you a reason?!

What am I annoyed by:

Allergies, tiredness, acne, my love for food...choose one or all that is me. This ^^^ doesn't deserve a cute picture soo.

What am I hoping for:

A peaceful rest of the week! Yes Mothers, those without children appreciate peace as well.

What am I wearing today:

Workout clothes currently, or always. whatevs.

What else is new:
I think y'all know just about everything by now but here is a cute pic of tobes just in case you need more. Also, I felt like this was one of those old myspace bulletins I used to do and I loved those so ergo I loved this.

What's up with you?
