what's in my bag wednesday

Hey y'all, switching up wedding wednesday {because it wears me out mentally, which should prove to y'all how tiring that whole actual process made me!} to bring you "what's in my bag wednesday"!

I recently started taking a medium sized gym bag everyday with me really because I prefer a tiny purse so I had no room to shove my barre socks, yoga towel, etc.

So I will show y'all....{drum roll} what's in my bag!

This is my bag, I love colors but I also think a black adidas bag is quite understated. This is the medium sized version, Tripp has the large and it has two side pockets to my just one. {I linked the big items in case you are interested in it. You can comment or message me, as well for details!}

I couldn't find this exact bag so I tagged some similar ones that are a good price: option 1 or option 2
{the side pocket}

{inside}

Of course in my bag I have...ANOTHER BAG {the Russian doll version of bags}.
I didn't want all of these items just rolling around in my bag and this doesn't come with much pockets so I got this cute gold bag from my mom for Christmas and it was put to good use.

 Inside the gold bag is: baby oil {takes off eye makeup}, makeup wipes, tide to-go pen {I'm a mess, y'all}, Deo {hot yoga necessity}, lotion, lint roll {dog owner necessity}, balance oil & elevation oil {feeling blue or anxious, I rub these on my wrists or behind my neck}, bug spray {alabama necessity}, tooth brush and a water flavor packet.
I usually don't know really what workout I will do in the evening so I plan for either walking, biking, hot yoga or barre.

 {pink towel is my hot yoga mat & the other is my towel for if I shower at the gym}

a change of clothes {leggings: on sale now!}, barre socks and my tennis shoes {Reebok crossfit nanos link: here}

In the side pocket I keep: erin condren planne {link:here} , exercise/food diary {similar: here} & scented spray [because we need that after sweating, y'all]

Then finally my purse..which is really just a wallet because that's all it will hold but I love it and it's perfect for me! I can't find it but it is a sakroots that I got from TJ Maxx via my mom {I normally just end up with whatever bag she doesn't like, ha!} similar: here

What's in y'all's bags?! What am I mising in mine?! comment with suggestions or love! Check back tomorrow to see what's been going on in our lives lately!

our little lives lately...

what we've been up to this week?!

Friday- We had our niece and nephew over for a slumber party that included the park, a target trip [for a few toys, of course], an ice cream run and lots of playing.

{I've cleaned my table since then! #whew}
 {my girl, willow rhea}
 {cutest fella, Jaxon}

Saturday- Tripp and his dad worked in our yard {that's their summer project} and planted two hibiscus trees that I talked about in Monday's post.
and then this non-mom and non-dad took a nap because we were plum-tuckered from those sweet babies!

Sunday- We spent time with two of our own babies..Beau & Betty White. Bless them, they often get over looked compared to Toby because he is a constant inside dog and they are part-time outside livers.

{pre-hike #couldtheybeanycuter?! - said in a chandler bing voice}
 {during the hike #theyneedmorecardio}
 {she's alive, don't panic!}
 {post hike #praisejesusforthecreek}

 {if you wonder where Toby was, welll.... #hesanoldman}
{but we still love him!}

During this week- We hiked a little, worked a lot and we are just enjoying the summer so far {I live for hot weather and my husband sweats like a hooker in a church}.

{I need a pedicure and Tripp, poor baby needs some sun on his feet #coachproblems}

also I added an about me page, check it out! #learningnewthingsalways

What have y'all been up to?!

wedding wednesday.

So if you read my last wedding Wednesday post, I hope I taught you about how important budgeting is..if not, you can go back here and read it for my #1 recommendation when planning your wedding.

So #1 is BUDGET, then once you decide how much you have to work with and what aspects are the most important to you #2 will be obvious.

My #2 was VENUE/DECOR [one in the same sometimes], we started this wedding dream with dreams that were far exceeding our budget.

we started with this place:
I didn't have the best experience with this place, it never could fit my budget no matter how hard I tried. Buttttt you can ask literally anyone else because EVERYONE seems to be having their wedding there. We booked it in July 2013 and by February 2014, we realized that no matter how hard we tried, how much organs we could sell or blood we could squeeze out of our body's to muster up some 20's, we could not see paying the amount they were telling us we owed.

So in February 2014, we decided to get married at our church and have the reception at this place

.....a local Antebellum home [10 miles from our church]. I told you all that to say, in all honesty, it doesn't matter where you get married. I would consider what is important to you and I figured out that having it somewhere that was close to my heart was important and Tripp and I started going to our church together and joined our first marriage small group there and it was near and dear to us [not to mention great price!]. I talked last time that you can make any place as beautiful as you would like and you really can, just consider how much you can spend, get thrifty and have some of your creative friends join in [literally what we did]! The antebellum home was sweet for me because it was in a town that I spent the majority of my life and it was all close to our oldest family members so no one was having to travel too far that didn't need to [good quality to consider too]!

You may think in the magic of just being engaged that you need the IT! place of the moment or that you need the most eccentric ware house or huge farm, but honestly think of somewhere that is accessible and sweet to you and your fiance.

And here it is!! [wedding venue pictures]

not the prettiest, but definitely not the worst.

I haven't had as much time this week to pin to my heart's desire but this is what I've been diggin' lately..

We're having a family slip and slide party the end of June so getting some ideas on how I want it to look!

 << love this drink station idea and I have some of the containers left from our wedding last year!

 I started a new morning routine yesterday and had SUCCESS! Today wasn't as a great but living for the little victories, y'all.

<< Also took an enneagram test this week [a free one, so not sure how accurate it is.]
Annyways, it said I was a 6 with a 5 wing.
It actually fit me to a tee, so
I'm having fun learning more and find that stuff super interesting!

today is the dermatology day! yay! After trying everything OTC I could get my hands on and having zero success [still bummed Rodan + Fields didn't end up working], I am giving myself to the pros. I'll keep you posted.
