I had a great weekend, but semi-boring worthy to talk about honestly. Y'all don't need to hear how I colored on Friday night while Tripp had his last high-school football game to coach or how I cleaned on Saturday while Tripp had to take wrestlers for their weigh in...then we napped and churched the rest of the weekend..so since there isn't much to say or show for that..we're talking favorite drugstore products {one of my favorite topics}! Linking up with Biana!
I was raised to be quite the product lover [courtesy of my mama] and I have proven to possibly love them even more than her. I try almost anything new and few things actually become a permanent place in my regimen but it sure is fun trying all of it!
Here are my current drugstore favorites:
I will literally NEVER stop talking about this stuff, it is the best thing that has happened to my hair {besides color} and I've tried all sorts of salon types that are supposed to do the same thing {just better} and I ALWAYS come back to this plus for $6, I ain't mad!
I've never really given high-end mascara a chance so I can't compare it to any of that stuff but I will say out of all the drugstore brands I've tried this is becoming a fast favorite [taking the place of my old favorite, Falsies].
Another one I've tried to do without and whenever I put it back in the line up, it always proves its worth. Time and time again! My hair is thick but fine and will be pretty limp unless I add something to it while it's wet. This item is PERFECT for that!
I've tried over a handful of dry shampoos from TJ Maxx to drugstores and this one has proven to be the best smelling, easy to apply, non-sticky of them all! It makes my hair feel actually CLEAN and not just hide the oil like most. This is a "can't do without" at the moment!
I've been using this since I started wearing make up to get my mascara/eye make up off and even though I've tried using other methods, I always come back to this one. In my opinion, it's the most gentle way to take off mascara. I've used brands of eye makeup remover that would ripe my eye lashes out and this just softens them up and never leaves them red or irritated.
Last but certainly not least, I just started using liquid eye liner a few months ago because y'all know by now that I love a good cat eye and this goes on like butter! I recently ran into my CVS and they were out so I bought some cheapo kind from covergirl and it just can not even COMPARE. All time favorite!
I love drugstore posts, I always learn so much. Great tip on the J&J, never would have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried the John Frieda leave-in conditioner but it sounds like something I would definitely be interested in. Also, that Johnson's Baby Oil Gel is wonderful in removing eye makeup! Great post :)
ReplyDeleteThat is my go-to drugstore mascara - I love it so much!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love these posts because I practically ONLY buy drug store make up!!! Or Target ... which probably also counts as drug store. Interested to try that dry shampoo!!
ReplyDeleteI use the high end mascara however I'm always into trying something new !!!! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteDry shampoo for sure! But I don't know what I like the best...right now i'm using TreSemme (how do you spell it?) and I like it. My hair stylist was telling me this weekend that there's a good one for brunettes that I need to try. I get new mascara every time I shop, so i'll have to try this one next!
ReplyDeleteAh I need a good eye make up remover! Do you just use this with a cotton ball or how exactly?!
ReplyDeletebaby oil - a good ole standby classic.
ReplyDeleteI'm still gaga over my "Baby Lips"... keeps my lips great
I'm definitely interested in that mascara... I always buy drug store makeup, and I was recently thinking of trying a new mascara, but I'm always afraid to deviate from the norm. I'll have to try that one!
ReplyDeleteI have heard so many great things about the lash sensational masacara!!

That mascara is great but I would also try Colossal Lash by maybelline! It is quickly becoming my go-to!
ReplyDeleteOooh so many new items to try!! I'm a beauty junkie but I've never tried any of these!!
ReplyDeleteI always used to use just regular baby oil as an eye makeup remover but hated how greasy it was! I've never thought of using the gel... is it better than the oil? I need to try the Frizz Ease too. I have a hard time finding good leave-in conditioner that doesn't feel heavy. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am taking a run to my local drug store tomorrow and I can't wait to try some of these out! Great post :)
