The Versatile Blogger Award

hellooooo loves!
I seriously have the best blogging friends and am falling in love with this community more and more each day! I was nominated last week for the Versatile Blogger Award by Ashley @ Girl Talk  #loveherblog #checkheroutnowyall It took a lot of work for me to think of 7 things that y'all didn't already know {I know y'all are sick of my love for tv and my birthday by now}!

The rules for this are quite simple and are as follows:
  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Include a link to their blog(s).
  • Write seven facts about yourself.
  • Nominate fifteen bloggers to pass the award along to
|| ONE || I am a second degree black belt with International Karate Federation. I started Karate at 8 years old and it was a HUGE part of mine and my brother's life growing up. I actually tried to start back last November after his death but I quickly realized how hard it would be to do without him and I think I've finally left that part of me behind. I will always love martial arts and I HIGHLY recommend young girls doing it!
|| TWO || I absolutely love interior design {it's a hobby not a future career, unfortunately} and I really wish I had money to do what I wanted with my house. I would rip alot out and completely re-build it, but right now I just fixed superficial things like painting, etc.
{our bedroom}

|| THREE || I started drinking coffee literally from a bottle so that should tell you how young I was, now before you judge my mom there is a reason! I had HORRIBLE asthma as a child, like quarantined for 6 months horrible and caffeine breaks up the stuff in your chest so anytime I would start a coughing fest, coffee to the rescue and it worked every time! It's so funny the things that moms freak out about now and to think the stuff all of us had/took/ingested and look how GREAT we turned out ha!
|| FOUR || My two favorite quotes growing up were:
"Woman must not depend upon the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself."- Susan B Anthony

"I'm just a girl from a trailer park with a dream." -Hilary Swank

|| FIVE || I've had to move my family a total of 9 times, it's horrible, I absolutely hate moving. I swear that next time I move myself I will hire someone to move me {and Tripp will have to agree to this} because I literally hate it so much.
|| SIX || I hated cheese and didn't have a grilled cheese until I was in my twenties thanks to my hubby. I'm not saying I LOVE it now, I'm still pretty picky but I will eat it alot more than I used to, it's mainly sliced cheese that freaks me out.
|| SEVEN || One of my biggest fears is driving in the rain. 4 or so years ago, Tripp and I were in my car and I was driving and hydroplaned. I have never been so close to wrecking in my life. I thought that with time I would be fine but when it rains, I still get very nervous and paranoid while driving. I will literally do anything to avoid it!

I don't know who has already done this so I'll just share my favorite blogs:
Post Grad in Process||Colors of Life||Little Goodies||Lindsay's Sweet World||So Much Life to Live||A Little Bit of Emily||See You In A Porridge||Hill Collection||Say Yes To Happy||A Memory Of Us||Two Peas In A Blog||Eliza Poppy Co||Boho Style File||Katie Elizabeth Blog||Alyssagoesbang||

Check them out and show them some love!

  6. i am terrified of driving in the rain as well! i was in a pretty bad accident when i was younger, and it was raining (i wasn't driving). now that i've moved to the US, i'm more scared of driving in the snow! or after it's snowed haha. i basically refuse to do it, thankfully when it snows my husband gets a snow day and i make him drive me to work.

  7. You're a second degree black belt? That's so cool! You should post some of your old pics!

    A-FREAKING-MEN to moving trucks. I've moved every summer for the past 8 years, and this year I finally hired a moving company. Worth every penny.

    Thanks for the nod! Have a great Tuesday!

  10. your room looks amazing! I need to work on interior decorating at our new place! We're in the middle of moving and it's crazy to think of all the stuff we accumulate over the years and how much we have to pay to transport it all!

    that's so cool you're a black belt!

  11. Thanks so much for the shout out...that makes my day! I am loving your bedroom...SO SO cute. I am totally with you about the rain. I never liked it much anyways, but heading to a float trip one year with some sorority sisters, we lost control (wasn't even raining, just wet) and spun across 3 lanes of traffic. It was insanely scary. Since then my anxiety about it has been even worse! I think you are the first person I have heard that doesn't like cheese...how I wish I didn't...I could probably eat my weight in it!
