It's time for one of my favorite link-ups of the month "What"s Up Wednesday?" with Mix and Match Mama, Pinterest Told Me To and The Larson Lingo #yayhalfwaydonewiththeweek
What We're Eating This Week-
I actually wrote a blog post about that earlier this week, you can check it out here @ cooking for dummies! We've done the Overnight Oats, Sloppy Joe Pot Pies and Pizza Quesadillas so far.
What I'm Reminiscing About-
It's getting close to the holidays with Halloween fast approaching and I'm getting the feels thinking about how amazing my Christmas was last year. If I could go back and do it again, I would over and over. I suggest everyone spend at least one Christmas at the Gaylord Opryland because it literally feels like you are at the North Pole.
What I'm Loving-
It's not my first married holidays but it's the first time I'm decorating for fall! The Halloween decor I've gotten out, just the start of my fall! {ps. we just started watching gotham}
This week has been hectic, Monday night we ended up in bed at 8:30 then Tuesday night we didn't get home till 10:15 so it's kinda all over the board. It's been working, cleaning, coaching, small grouping, etc! Oh and we did a one day cleanse that was HORRIBLE y'all, it was so bad! yuk #neveragain oh and I'm on snapchat now: lindsaymclovin #addme
What I'm Dreading-
This week I need to book two of doctors appointments and I just hate going, I don't care if it's just a check up. It's literally the worst, y'all and I'm a big baby about shots so I'm constantly in a panic that they're gonna poke me. I need to book a dentist appointment but I've literally put that off for so long...it's sad.
What I'm Working On-
Wrote out a new work out plan for October so next week we'll do a Training Tuesday post.
What I'm Excited About-
What I'm Watching/Reading-
I mean fall tv just started back so really, what am I not watching is an easier question! All my talk shows started back {Kelly & Michael, Ellen and The Chew} plus I gave Blood & Oil and Scream Queens a shot.
What I'm Listening To-
This is my jam right now, y'all.
What I'm Wearing-
This month I've hit an all time low with my body and body image. I didn't do any of my goals for fitness, I ate crap and felt horribly. So it's been workout leggings and huge tee shirts #sadbuttrue I just want to get to a body type where I can wear cute clothes again and feel normal. This isn't meant to be a heavy post but just real life.
What I'm Doing This Weekend-
We have another kid's birthday this weekend {we're becoming pros at these!}, Tripp has football Friday night and I'm sure Saturday will revolve around some college football game.
What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month-
Y'all it's my birthday month so what do I NOT look forward should be the question! Answer: NOTHING
What Else Is New-
Nothing is new, really!
What's Your Favorite Halloween Tradition-
I don't have any unfortunately in my adult life but growing up we had the best halloweens! Our neighborhood was packed out, like my mom would have to start buying Halloween on October 1st to have enough candy. My brother and I always dressed up and got to walk the neighborhood with our bags, we ended up with LOADS of candy and made the best memories. Now that my brother's passed I am so thankful for holiday memories like the ones we made.
So fun, as usual! See you guys tomorrow!
Wow Opreyland looks gorgeous in the winter! And I love decorating for fall too, especially Halloween! I totally forgot about Blood & Oil, whoops! I need to see if it's on demand!

Girl, I'm reminiscing about our Christmas last year too! It was my first one away from my family but it was quite wonderful. Love your fall decor and totally agree about not eating crappy food. I hate the way it makes me feel. I'm a huge baby with doctors as well, hate hate hate needles!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Christmas!!! Ahhh seeing your pictures make me happy! Don't beat yourself up about falling short of some fitness goals...new month, new start!
ReplyDeleteYour fall decor is perfect!! I love it! I watched the first episode of Blood & Oil last night and the Quantico the night before that - love them both!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love your little trick or treat banner and the lights! And, I did a cleanse once and couldn't even finish it. I was so disgusted and I was like….there's no point at all!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your Halloween decorations!
ReplyDeleteMy step daughter lives like one exit up from Gaylord Opryland so we love to go through there every year - so beautiful at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with Fall TV - so many shows!!!!
Good luck at your doctor appointments - I always hate the simplest appts :(
Love these posts! Your house is TOO CUTE!!!! I think you need to do some home decor posts or something, such a cute decorator!
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at the Opryland hotel when we were in Nashville a couple years ago and it was amazing! It was decorated for Fall at the time. I would LOVE to go back and see it during the holidays!
ReplyDeleteLoving your Halloween decor too!
I love the sweet memory of you and your brother :)
ReplyDeleteYour fireplace looks amazing all decked out for Halloween!!
I'm the worst about setting doctor appointments too...I stress the whole time about having to get a shot or worse-my blood taken. I've had nothing but terrible experiences with that and so I'm terrified of it all!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween decorations are so cute!
We typically do a weekend at Opryland every Christmas and are going again this year. We love it! We loved Blood & Oil!

Ohhh my I'd give anything to be at the Opryland during the Christmas season! SUCH a beautiful place and so cozy with all that country tradition! Did you ever see the photos of when it was flooded in 2010? My mom and I were scheduled to go just a few weeks after it happened and we had to reschedule for 2011. Such a devastating mess!

It's a new month and I know you'll get that fitness and eating schedule all squared away! Stay optimistic!!
Opryland looks like so much fun!! The last few years, my family and I have gone to NYC between Christmas and New Years and it is always so fun to be in the city when it's all decked out for the holidays :) I love your after cleanse nachos hahaha! I hate trying to diet...I just try to make good choices for breakfast and lunch and snacks and then the rest can balance itself out! I hope October is a fresh start for you!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I want to go there for Christmas! Loving your skirt, by the way. I feel you on the working out...I start back up this week after a bit of a break last week and boy am I paying for it...SO SORE! I am with you on doctor's appointments, although once you get them scheduled it is so much easier to maintain bc then you can just set up the next one while you are there. Much less effort than calling again!
ReplyDeleteYes!!!! Fall TV is my favorite & so is football season!!! I totally loved that ecard! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us this month :)
I love your decorations- your skull even manages to look cute more than scary. Love Halloween, it's always a really exciting holiday isn't it. Don't beat yourself up about fitness goals, just start fresh. Can't change yesterday whatever you do, and being down on yourself will only spoil tomorrow. Just let it go and tell yourself, onwards and upwards!
