About

Hey y'all! This is us [Tripp and Lindsay], well really it's just me {Lindsay} but you'll be hearing alot about this guy too [he's a hunk, right?!]. We are newly married [2 years 7.19.14] and living in a small-town in Alabama. I am small business owner [non-profit ministry work] and Tripp is a middle school PE Teacher and Coach [aka: living the teacher's dream]. We have 3 furbabies: Betty White was our first together, then we ended up with Beau and Toby without even planning it [if we had a fence, I'd have like 5 more]!

We spend most of the week working, exercising, binge watching tv and eating [we love good food!]. This ride isn't easy but it's ours. We are growing more and more everyday and trying to be proactive in life here and our eternal life. We are both believers but try to be as honest as possible with our faith and our lives. God has blessed us and wrecked us both at different times.

What to expect with LOL?

  • My life as a wife, wannabe career woman and following me through every season
  • I am passionate about causes close to my heart [eating disorders, addiction recovery, cerebral palsy]
  • I love all things girly so I'll frequently blog about beauty and fashion on a budget
  • My journey through grief [losing my brother] and battle to overcome depression
What not to expect on LOL:

  • Cooking and I go together about like peanut butter and fish...meaning it doesn't and it usually ends up being something nasty [I can burn toast like nobody's business]
  • Anything politically correct..because I'm just not..at all
  • FAKE anything..there may be weeks where you feel like my posts are kind of a bummer and there may be weeks where it seems like I have my crap together..this is just life with depression and I am as honest about it as possible.

So that about sums up what's going on here at LOL! So thankful for you!

Welcome to my little corner!

  1. Hi Lindsay! So glad to land upon your page :) The blogging world can use more women like you who 1) aren't sure of their purpose YET, 2) aren't obsessed with cooking and 3) will be honest and raw with the struggles of life. Can't wait to follow your story and learn more!!!!

    1. I really appreciate that! I hoped that it would resonate with someone and I love hearing feedback that people enjoy my honesty [ha! good or bad!].

  2. It's so refreshing to find someone else in the blogging world who also isn't a mom, a master chef, and is still figuring out her career path! It's a lot of pressure to find what you wanna do and it seems to define so many people.

I've struggled with finding my career and passion too and am still going through it at 28! You're not alone girl!

    1. I appreciate the love and glad to hear I'm not alone! I feel like such a late bloomer not having my career figured out at 24 but I just think that's what our twenties are for anyways. So glad you connected with me, I feel the love!

  6. So glad I found you, too!! I am not a blogger, though I would love to be! It is so refreshing to meet someone who is not all about kids or having kids. I love so many cute and informative blogs out there, but alas, they are moms, which constantly leaves me feeling like I am in another world entirely. Thanks for posting something so real!
